OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Sacred Music Program is dedicated to practical, contemporary music education tailored for the demands of today’s music industry. Our Bachelor’s of Sacred Music Degree offers a comprehensive four-year exploration of music, empowering you to follow your calling, whether it’s to be a worship pastor, a pop artist, a country singer, or a gospel recording artist. Our mission is to raise up Spirit-filled, expert musicians across all musical genres. While many music programs focus on traditional, classical music, we believe in equipping students for their specific musical calling by using popular music as our foundation for our curriculum. This degree is designed for passionate musicians pursuing a career in music in today’s ever-evolving industry, relentless chasing after God’s heart and His calling on their life.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 or equivalent
Performance audition on your major instrument (guitar, piano, voice, drums, bass)
Music Theory Placement Test

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to take 7 semesters of Applied Music Lessons. Students will receive one credit for each semester of lessons. Students will be graded at each lesson and must receive a passing grade (75%) for each semester. Grades from all required courses will be considered for graduation.

Students specializing in Guitar, Piano or Voice must complete the RCM Grade 6 Practical Certificate, or a 30 minute graduation recital. Those specializing in Bass or Drums are required to complete only the 30 minutes graduation recital. All graduating students will be tested for minimum Grade 6 technical requirements, ear training and scales.
