Sylvia Bramwell
Professor of Christian Counselling and Addictions Care
Dr. Sylvia Bramwell is a professor at Canada Christian College School of Graduate Theological Studies, in the Department of Counselling and Psychology. Originally trained as a Social Worker from Renson College, a sub-division of the University of Waterloo. She worked as a Health Promotion Officer with Toronto Community Housing for the last twelve years of a thirty-two year employment with this corporation. She is currently a Registered Psychotherapist with the College or Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario since May, 2015.
Dr. Bramwell holds a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology, a Masters and Doctorate in Christian Counselling from Canada Christian College School of Graduate Theological Studies. Here, she often teaches COUN399 – Counselling Skills Development Lab, ADDC401- Drugs, Behaviour and the Brain, COUN501 – Advanced Counselling Skills Development Lab and COUN801 –The Church’s Role on Mental Health.
As part time occupation, Dr. Bramwell is self-employed with Deep Waters Counselling Services, where she works as a Registered Psychotherapist in Cambridge, Ontario. Dr. Bramwell is an ordained pastor in good standing with the Evangelical Association of Canada.
